Comments: Hi Dean Yes of course this is brilliant - particularly the sax. We heard this live at Crawley, then saw you at Brighton when we all stood in the cold night air waiting for security all clear (I came over and suggested you ought to have brought an instrument out and played to the crowd in that landscaped park. My two daughters (now 9yrs & 11yrs) have been in love with McDonalds girl since they heard me play it so much (I used to be in love with a doughnut-shop girl) Looking forward to seeing you all again in Sussex again soon. All the best mate.

Comments: Love Springsteen. Think his Sandy is great. Wish he wouldn't mumble so much in interviews. And one other thing, even if his fans never believe it... I wrote the lyric in Sandy "...57 channels and nothing on." a full year before his own tune "57 Channels and Nothing On" was released. Truth! I attribute this amazing coincidence to the common petrochemical stew we grew up in along the New Jersey Turnpike.

Comments: You surprised me quite a lot at the Holmfirth Gig, firstly doing Sandy as the first song was a shock as it's my current fave of the Album, a very haunting tune & lyric. However, I'm now confused what the melody is for the chorus, you seemed to sing the bass harmony whilst I took the descant to be the tune, so to speak. I expected you to have Bee Gees type teeth, by the way, that is a perception we Brits have of most Merkins ( well, rich ones!) The other surprise was that you wore white socks..... You definitely upstaged the Safe by the way, and most of us were happy to sit there cold and damp on our binbags. I asked myself several times why I had given up a box at the City Varieties.

Comments: Dear Dean, Much as I was looking forward to hearing you sing 'Sandy' at Telfords Warehouse, Chester last week -- guess what happened? Yes, I missed it! Missed your first 3 songs actually -- my friend and fellow fan Lyn had to attend a v important meeting at her sons school -- so SORRY Dean, I wish I could have heard 'Sandy' The rest of the concert was brilliant though -- and it was nice to meet you at last too! (I very nearly drowned in your eyes......well no-body warned me!!!) Love, Frances. (& Lyn).

Comments: Just got back from the Croydon concert.... WOW! I still cannot believe that he can hit those notes live - especially suffering from a cold/flu. If you haven't booked to go see him yet just DO IT!!! And take all your friends! Thanks Dean - a seriously cool evening (one of the highlights of which was three 15 year old girls sitting behind me providing the female lead on "Lucky Stars" and then mobbing Dean for autographs afterwards! Just goes to show...)

Comments: Am I allowed to be not nice (well I am a fan so I say I can). See I disagree, this is not the top track it's dead cheesy and reinforces the stuff that non-believers think about Dean's stuff. I'm a wee bitty 34 year old so I'm not into the Eric Clapton "Wonderful Tonight" view of the man/woman thing. BUT let the world get a chance to hear Little Black Cloud or Don't Marry That Boy and they'll never stop singing them - pure radio!

Comments: Well, lets see... first of all 1. I'm glad you seem to like it. 2. It isn't about anyone in particular, although I can think of a few indecisive people I know who it fits to a "t". 3. I'd love for Boyzone to cover it and if anyone can get it to them, they get a healthy finders fee. 4. Who's Sandy Lyle?

Comments: Undoubtedly the best song on the album - top performance Deano. I saw you at Birdman of Bognor most recently, and you were pretty awesome considering the weather. Anyway, that's enough for now - I just hope this song isn't about Sandy Lyle.

Comments: Having just installed Windows 98 with the new Deluxe CD player I thought I'd better upload Chat For Grownups track listing so that everyone else can auto-retrieve! I THINK it has worked as I deleted the CDs from my DeluxeCD.MDB and then asked for an on-line update and got it back in a slightly altered form (they changed Volume to Disk). So if you've got '98 insert your CDs and let it update on-line! Cool feature.
