Written, Performed and Produced by Dean Friedman / Recorded circa 1980, Eastern Artist Recording Studios, East Orange, NJ Musicians: Dean Friedman - Vocals, Guitar, Synths; Billy Ward - Drums; Jonny Mann - Bass; David Frank - Synths (please email with any updated credit info.) About the Track: This is one of four or five tracks that I recorded around 1980, just prior to securing a deal with Epic for my third album, Rumpled Romeo. I'd been listening to a lot of new-wave and wrote a handful of wacky synth-pop tunes which I performed around NY with a band I called the Nurds. My plan was to release an EP as the Nurds depicted as cartoon characters. I even painted a cool cartoon cover for the EP sleeve, which is hidden somewhere in my basement. Other Nurd tunes include 'Be Responsible', 'Rock Dove' and 'Charles the Bold' a silly ode to a certain polo playing prince. Yo-Yo copyright (1980) Dean Friedman Music (PRS) |
